Our Snow Removal Services In Sheridan County ND

We offer comprehensive snow removal services in Sheridan County ND. Here are some of the services we offer:

High-Volume Parking Lot Plowing

Our machinery is optimized for large-scale efficiency. We do not pile it haphazardly; we assess your property to determine the most efficient stacking locations that protect vehicle areas and keep lanes clear. Utilizing heavy loaders and small maneuverable loaders, we ensure critical spots remain open.

Our methodology includes:

  • Pre-Season Site Mapping: We identify curbs, hydrants, and drainage inputs before the first flake falls to prevent infrastructure damage.
  • Trigger-Based Deployment: Custom service contracts allow you to choose snow limits (e.g., 1 inch, 2 inches) for immediate action.

Traffic Flow Maintenance: We maintain key lanes and fire lanes to ensure emergency vehicles and customers have unimpeded access.

Protecting Your Home and Family

A snowed-in driveway or a dangerously loaded roof is a standard Sheridan County ND challenge, but it is not inevitable. ABC SNOW brings the top-tier service used in our commercial contracts to your home. Unlike erratic “truck and plow” operators, we are a insured professional service, providing reliability.

Snow removal is only one step; ice management is where hazards are controlled. Basic rock salt often loses efficacy in severe cold. ABC SNOW applies controlled salt applicators and advanced de-icing agents optimized for local temps.

We deploy multiple solid and liquid applications:

  • Magnesium Chloride: Functions where salt fails, causing less damage to concrete and landscaping.

  • Treated Salt Blends: Enhances safety while the chemical reaction melts the ice bond.

Liquid Brine Pre-treatment: We can apply anti-icing liquid before the storm hits, making removal cleaner and faster.

Precision Driveway Plowing

We utilize equipment appropriate for residential spacing. While we have industrial equipment for big properties, we also utilize nimble plow trucks and snow blowers for standard driveways to prevent turf damage.

Our technicians are trained to back-drag snow away from garage doors effectively, ensuring you have clear access. We also offer staking services to mark driveway boundaries, safeguarding surfaces.

Critical Service: Roof Raking and Snow Load Management

In Sheridan County ND, snow load is a structural threat. As wet snow increases density, its density increases.

If the structural limits are surpassed, catastrophic collapse can occur.

  • Physics of Snow Load: The weight (W) on a roof is determined by the size of the roof, depth of the snow (D), and density of the snow ().

  • Soft snow is lighter, but dense snow adds massive weight.

  • Even a moderate accumulation can overload structures.

ABC SNOW provides roof snow management. We do not use damaging picks or axes. Instead, we use non-abrasive roof rakes and, for flat commercial roofs, snow blowers to remove the bulk of the weight without causing leaks.

This service is essential for roof safetyfrozen barriers that trap runoff. Ice dams can lead to interior damage.

The Dakota Territory legislature created the county on January 4, 1873, naming it for Civil War General Philip Henry Sheridan. The county organization was not completed at that time, but the new county was not attached to another county for administrative or judicial purposes. In 1883 and again in 1887, the county boundaries were reduced, and on November 8, 1892, the county was dissolved, its remaining territory assigned to McLean. This lasted until the November 3, 1908 election, when McLean County voters chose to partition off the eastern portion of that unit into a new county, although the new boundaries were somewhat different from the former Sheridan. The new county government was effected on December 24 of that year.
